Forever you will be my Friend

I was lost and never found
My spirit had swept the ground
I never knew where to go
Answers I needed to know

All those sleepless nights
With those endless fights
Never knew what to do
When all I needed was you

Never knew you were there
Towards my victory and despair
How foolish could I have been
Now so grateful to have you within

You were there all this time
A friend who is so divine
Every time I needed you
You'd always see me through

Now that I have found you
I believe I found myself too
I shall never be lost again
Forever you will be my friend

I really like the words in this poem, but the flow reads a bit off beat. If you decide to change it, please let me know and I'll return to re-rate. I'm thinking we are allowed to do that on this site? Bev
