Against the waves.....
As I reflect back upon the waters of this past year. Examining the under toes and the undecided currents . I have learned what it means to trust Him in all things . To hold on when the rock is slippery, and your treading in 30 feet of water. How to tread water when the waves come up every 3 seconds, and you have no time to breath . I have resurfaced, and the sun has started to peek through the dense clouds, yet I still am caught off guard occasionally by a wave. One named court date ,money or rsv surfaces, and I scramble, yet my grip clutches at the air and faithfully the Fathers hand is always there to grab mine .Gently leading me back to a safe place, and reassuring me He will do it time and time again . It is not the problem I trust in when I am up against the waves, it is the One who made the waves in where I put my trust .

Deena, Welcome to Faithwriters. Your article reminds me of the story in the Bible where the rains came down on the man who built his house on the sand, and upon the man who built his house upon a rock..and when the typhoon came..my version..it was the house of the man who had built upon the rock, that was still standing. And great was the fall of the house that had been built upon the sand. What a lesson for us today! No matter how slippery the rock seems to get, from the rains of life, Jesus will be there to save us from the waves that would pull us under. God bless, Barb.
