Night Time in the City

The drunks, the whores, the kids who steal
It really is a pity
To see the way the people live
It's night time in the city.

The man and woman, old and poor
They eat food meant for kitty
The junkie's getting high again
It's night time in the city.

The slums are full of hopelessness
The home life there ain't pretty
A mother beats her helpless child
It's night time in the city.

There's only One hope
There's only One cure
It's the Lord Jesus Christ
He's the Son of God

Light came to the City
True Light came to the City
Take Jesus to your City

The images in this poem are very vivid and real. They evoke pity for the helpless and you have brought this out very clearly. A realistic poem.
