They'll know that we are Christians
By our love, so the song goes;
But are we doing anything
To make sure that loves shows?
With many dying in their sins
Not knowing God above,
Can we sit around and watch
Just singing of our love?
What about the one who thirsts?
The one who hungers still?
The one whose belly's never full,
The one who's always ill?
You say we'll teach them 'bout God's love,
Who Jesus is and why.
Who cares if they are starving,
At least they'll know God's love, then die!
Let's feed the one who's hungry first,
Empty bellies have no ears!
And clothe the little naked child,
They'll be ready then to hear!
Our actions will speak louder
Than any words that we can say.
The caring and the love we show
Will point them to the Way!
Their ears will then be ready
To hear the words we share,
Our works, our deeds, much more than words
Will show our love and care!
Then we'll teach them 'bout God's love
Who Jesus is and why,
And lead them to the One who saves,
No more will have to die!
They'll live eternally with Christ
And reign with Him above;
Because instead of just the singing,
There is action in our love!

Calvary greetings to you my dear brother in Christ Jesus' awesome name. Bob we've got to walk the walk and talk the talk!! We cannot be church junkies getting a fix just on Sundays!! What about the rest of the days in the week??!! Unfortunately we have too many Corinthian Casuals and Pentecostal Pimps and Prima Donnas in the Church who sit on their Tithes and Offerings or in deep slumber in their comfort zones. A great article my brother. Thanks for sharing. God bless ya!Love from JOHN3-34 Evangelist
The message in this poem is clear and profound. People are more willing to hear of and believe in God's words by our example. We must practise what we preach. Excellent poem.
