Healing
Brother Smith will be sharing with you the story of a blind "Bartimaeus" the son of "Timaeus" from the book of Mark 10: 46: They came to Jericho. And He went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus sat by the wayside begging. And he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, "Thou son of David, have mercy on me!"
Before he received visitation from Jesus, he always sat at the gate leading to Jericho daily begging. All the dust of the ground of people's feet fall upon him; he is stinking, smelling and he did not bother himself but he bothered on the money he is receive from people passing. The blind Bartimaeus did not satisfy about his condition as a blind man.. I am sure he will say to himself if only I can see someone who can touch my eyes with his healing power, he will be grateful but he see no one.
One day, something happened to him,' there is a visitation from someone, somewhere, it was the "master Jesus Christ himself." He was present in Jericho and great number of people followed him. He doesn't know Jesus before but he always hearing about Jesus somewhere but he cannot get to him; if we study the verse of scripture very well in verse 48 the Bible says, "And when he heard of Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Thou son of David, have mercy on me!" I believe that he has been hearing about Jesus for sometime before he met with Jesus'.
In those days, the temple of the Lord is a quiet place, those church are not of today's end-time church that we shout praising God, they do everything silently, that is why they caution blind "Bartimaeus" to shut up but he cry the more and they still protecting him not to shout and broke the ruse. The Bible says in verse 49, Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. They called him, blind man " Be of good comfort, he calleth thee." And he casting his garment, and arose and come to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, "what wilt Thou that I should do unto thee?" Beloved, can you imagine what is happening, Jesus knew this man was blind but He still asked him what can I do for you.
Sometime in our lives it happens when you are going through some difficulties God knows what you go through but you have to pray again to remember Him. The Bible says put Me into remembrance concerning the work of My hands. The blind man answered him and said, "Lord that I may receive my sight" Jesus Said unto him. "Go thy way, thy faith hath made you whole......"
