“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.” Psalm 18:16-17

What an astounding sensation, the Lord reaches downward takes hold of you and whisks you away, your enemies standing in awe. Most likely the Lord has not rescued you in such a tremendous approach, but what about all those little incomprehensible times, while you were face to face with your enemy and there was a reassuring in the storm, a flash of clarity.

Perhaps there was a point in time when your anxieties were so immense you didn’t believe you could make it through the circumstances, and then unexpectedly the answers were so apparent and effortless.

The power of our prayers and cries unto the Lord are unstoppable, all we have to do is take the time to solicit help when we sense we are in a situation beyond our human means. He is at all times waiting for us to pour out our hearts.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for always being just a prayer away. For answering my cries when I am drowning in the midst of my enemies.
