God’s word is a rope that
Drops down from heaven.
I take hold as the world
Falls below my feet.
The mountain is steep,
Edges chiseled
So that my feet slip
And I am suspended
On the word of God
But I don’t have to worry.
His presence breathes in me
And in my weakness
He makes me strong enough
To pull my body up until
My feet reach higher ground.
Sometimes rain comes
And drops beat my face,
My hands, my body.
I shiver, shake,
Sometimes slide a bit
But I am quick to pull
Close to His word,
Wrap my legs
Around His promises
And He delivers me.
His word is good
And I hold on tight
As I keep climbing.

Awesome poem! God is a rope to hold on to in all we do. He gives us the assistance to make I,t without doing it for us. We grow spiritual muscles as we hold tight to the Rope.
Oh my goodness, the Lord is really moving through FaithWriters these last few days. This is awesome. The imagery is beyond excellent. Bravo! This is a winner... easily recognized to be inspired by the Rope-Master Himself.
