I was just fifteen years of age when you answered my first prayer for healing. It was while I was doing the breakfast dishes. I took some scraps of food out to our dog, Skippy.
A stray, yellow cat appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. I noticed it's left eye was swollen almost shut. Mucus covered the eye, and ran down its face.
Compassion rose up within me and I cried out, "Oh, God, PLEASE heal that cat's eye!" I went back inside and finished the dishes, not expecting to see the stray again.
Later that afternoon, I went back outside. The cat was still there! (I believe you kept him there for me, so that I could see your glory!)
The cat's eye was completely healed! The swelling was gone; the mucus was gone! You answered my prayer!
I was in complete awe, and felt warm and loved, inside. The God of the universe heard and answered MY prayer!
That memory has never left me. It has been in my heart all these years. It was to be fuel for my future heart's desire to see people healed.
No one can ever tell me that you do not heal today! I found it out many years ago.
The amazing thing is, it was a cry from my heart. No audible words were spoken. It was the compassion of the heart of a fifteen years old girl. And you felt that compassion, and you answered my prayer.
I learned early on that you care about the well-being of the animals you have given to your people to enjoy.
Thank you, Lord, for your goodness to ALL your creation!

What a glorious testimony! I see so much false compassion, so-called righteous prayers, the kind described in the Word (making long rehearsed prayers that you may be seen by men), that it breaks my heart. God truly answers the cries of our hearts so, so much quicker than those verbal prayers of "righteous" men. Your testimonies ring of such compassion, a trait the church would do well to mirror. Today, you have blessed me in such a special way. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
I had a similar prayer answered. It was for a little dog that I owned and loved dearly. He had gotten arthritis and could hardly get up stairs. It broke my heart to see that. I cried out to God and he healed that little dog. I too was in awe of the tender loving nature of our wonderful God. Blessings, Sharon
