When people talk about you real bad,
And your mouth's upside down,

Just know that my Jesus loves you
No matter whatever you do -
(But He commands yer good behavior,
Since He is yer Lord and Savior.)
You brush them teeth and smile real bright,
Make 'em know: Jesus is the light!
(If you turn the lights down real low,
Them new-brushed choppers might even glow!)
But if yer life is toothless and gummy,
Don't expect folks to be no dummy;
They'll hear you, but see whatchyer doin'
So don't be bellyachin' and boohooin'.
Praise the Lord with all you've got -
What ya is and whatchyer not.
And don't trick 'em into thinkin'
Yer ship's sailin', when it's sinkin'.
Just tell 'em as yer boat goes down,
"I'm praisin' the Lord even if I drown!"
Then put yer helpless soul in His hands,
As yer headin' toward the sea-bottom sands.
You may end up in God's eternal glory,
Or be a great big miracle story.
Whichever way, I know you'll be
With Him down here, or by the crystal sea.
Continya swiggin' that sweet Livin' Water,
Doin' whatchyer should, and whatchyer oughter.
God will see, and God will bless,
He's promised us that, no more, no less.
Keep praisin' Him either way it goes,
Up and at 'em, or thar she blows;
Then, open up yer sanctified mouth,
'N thank God yer goin' north, not south!
