Well, there have been some very interesting things happening around me lately. Life has been moving fast and the Lord has placed a lot of different people in my life, as well as new situations and learning experiences. I love it when He does that. I am the type of person that loves to learn and when God brings something to my attention, I think it is awesome.
One thing that He really brought to me the last few days is the importance of praise and worship. It's amazing how much can be released when you let go and let your voice, spirit and Joy OF The Lord rise up in you. Here's an example.
In my household it has been very stressful lately and been feeling like we have been getting overwhelmed with "stuff"- and it hasn't been the good "stuff" either. Saturday morning something moved in my spirit and told me to put on some of the most radical/rockin Christian music I have. So, of course, to me that is a Christian artist known as CARMAN. So I got out my collection (about 10 cd's, four cassettes and two records--remember records and turn tables?).
Anyway, I put the music on, got it blasting and started doing my work. And suddenly started feeling this awesome power moving through the house. It was such an incredible feeling! It was like feeling a weight lifted and this beautiful presence filling everything in the room, including me and kids. The joy that filled us was incredible. And it sounds rather silly, but I had forgotten that the Lord says He wants us to have the Joy of the Lord at all times. Good and bad times.
Proverbs 17:22 says "A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up bones." What a direct hit that verse makes.
Saturday night, before bed, my son tells me that he had a really great day and that he loved having the music going all day. He said that it "felt" better in the house. This boy is nine and he is so right on with his insights, especially when it comes to things of God.
So, if you are having a stressed out time or even if you're not; put on your favorite Christian/worship music and see how the Spirit of the Lord helps you "clean your house." The results are amazing. Praise the Lord at all times-He will truly bless you.

It truly is amazing Brenda what music can do for the spirit, you are so right! Music was a big part of David's life, he used it to worship the Lord quite often. I like your title! (smile)In His love, Sharon
