A few weeks ago I was having a real problem with my memory. Granted, I am getting older; I knew this was happening when my daughter asked me what it was like to be around when the Red Coats were here. But, I'm not THAT old.
So, part of my regaining my health and doing it without the aide of a quack that was having his pockets lined by my check book, was to find out what could be done to get my brain healthy again too.
I discovered something that has been around for ages and you've probably heard of it; Ginkgo Biloba.
It has made an incredible difference in my memory retention as well as thinking clearer. It has very powerful antioxidant (remember those from the last post?) agents that work on the brain, retina and cardiovascular system.
This herb is even being used with Alzheimer patients. The JAMA did extensive research on this herb and found it to be very beneficial in both long and short term memory and concentration enhancement.
It's also been shown to help treat hearing loss, impotence, relieves muscle pain, reduces blood pressure, helpful for tinnitus, vertigo, Raynaud's disease and macular degeneration. WARNING; do not take this if you are taking prescription anticoagulants!
Ginkgo started out thousands of years ago as an ornamental tree in China! Look what it can do besides be decorative!
