Thank you for the stars that shine
In the heavens to entwine
Thank you for the food we eat
For some may not have in the other street
Thank you for the birds that sing
Your praises of each morn to bring
Thank you for a place to rest
For some are not so surely blest
Thank you for trees and flowers
To ponder on in silent hours
Thank you for the sun and rain
While others live in a barren plain
Thank you for love and the little things
That brings life through the constant swings
Thank you Lord for each breathe I take
For now is the hour I cannot forsake.
