Fresh from shower...dripping wet
Revelation...best one yet!
Couldnít wait to write it down
Children view me with a frown.
Mommyís doing it again
Couldnít wait 'til nine or ten?
Solved my Christmas shopping quandary.
Didnít know what to do.
Now I have the answer.
Straight from You Know Who.
I donít need a car or money;
No babysitter to pick up.
Go get mommyís Bible honey.
Please fill up my coffee cup.
Window shopping at my soul
Catalogs you can heap.
No need for stores or the mall,
Heís given greatest gift of all
And it wasnít cheap!
So now I share with family, friends
To keep giving...what He intends.
The Word...never ends.
For my husband thereís a verse
That talks about his heartís desire
Remember always, Heís the one
That forever lit that fire.
I know you hold some verses dear
And follow them as best you can.
Just let me mention them again
Iím sure youíll understand.
Everyone, please be aware
His family is his foremost care
After God of course.
If even one should not be there
When he arrives in heavenís lair
Above all, great remorse!
Yes, mom and dad and sister too
This gift also is for you.
Accept the Savior, so freely given
Please be there, when we get to heaven.
Now I turn to my kids
Five of them there are.
I canít give you all you want
But better things by far.
For Stephanie, my new adult
You grew! Itís not your fault.
I give you all these verses,
Iíve been saving them for years.
Itís not like changing purses
Like strings attached, here come the tears.
Itís so hard to let you go,
I think that youíre prepared.
Just remember, Heís the One
Who thought you should be spared.
Please Him first, you canít go wrong.
Before you know it, it wonít be long;
A husband, children, at work and play
Show them His love in every way.
For Rebecca, youíre only ten
Donít try to grow too fast.
Trade your longings for these words
Youíll see that these will last.
Youíre heartís so big, and rightfully so
You were created to love and grow.
Please take heart and donít forget
The years to come are your best yet.
Keep on sharing what youíve learned
Help your friends to not get burned.
Timeís a wastiní, get it right.
Donít let them numb to Satanís bite.
Now my son, my one and only
Thereís no need, you shanít be lonely.
Youíve been blessed with struggles many
Consider it love, worth every penny.
Youíll be strong, more so than most
Refinerís fire, perfecting, not toast.
Itís all part of His wonderful plan
Heís known it since the creation of man.
My wish for you this Christmas day
Is that youíll never weary
Of sharing all the gifts you have.
Leave burdens at the cross, donít carry.
Hannah, Oh...how can I say?
Youíve blessed so many in every way.
Your love for God and His docket
If you could hide it in your pocket
But you canít, so freely you share.
For all mankind, you show all care.
If anyone had the smallest clue
Of what a blessing they have in you.
Time will tell just what your part
How will you share all in your heart?
Preacher, teacher, mother, wife?
Whatever plan is for your life
Worth every ounce of sweat and strife.
Julia, my smallest daughter
How much you are like me.
Could I ask for sweeter presence
So loving, giving and free?
You snuggle with your mommy
On the coldest winter day.
Your warmth clings like fragrance on me
Wish it would never go away.
Soon youíll be big and your turn will come
To pass on the traditions.
I know youíll do well to keep them straight
Pass on His word, with no revisions.
Friends, foes, aunts, uncles, cousins
I give verses by the dozens.
Elaborate? Just a bit
Canít possibly cover all of it.
The most important, donít forget
Have we this topic touched on yet?
How much I long for you to be
Up in heaven, not just with me
But with the Savior, youíve heard the story.
Please act now...You wonít be sorry.
Once and for all, the one true thing
A Christmas babe, Savior, King
For you and me, honest...itís true.
Born and killed for me and you.
You see the greatest gift of all
Cannot be found in any mall.
