Midnight Tears

Sometimes I cry at night
For those who are empty of dreams,
Or for the mess I've made of things...
And then the morning comes.

Sometimes it brings relief from pain.
Return of thoughts...bring tears, again
For those who flounder, such as I,
But too hard, too scared, too proud to cry.
Does morning, for them, come?

The tears, as such, provide no cure,
They simply help the soul endure.
They bring release, make one aware
Of the Power to comfort...ALWAYS there,
And then the morning comes.

So when we shed the 'midnight tears'
NOT from frustration, doubt or fear,
But for concerns that fill the heart,
We pray HIS comfort, He'll impart
That morn may come again!

Sometimes I think I'm too proud to cry so I fight back the tears. Your poem tells me that crying would relieve the pain, that He is there. It is a very soothing poem and I am happy that I read it.
