Why did God choose women of sorrows
why was their suffering on display
Well what I've read, He did shine through them
in each one and in their own way
Didn't Mary wash the Lord's feet with her hair
did the widow woman suffer any lost
The one with the issue of blood had it's reward
each one had a cause with a cost
At times it brings a wonder, why me 'O Lord
is it something that I have to do
Could this be why I go through so much
is it to see how much I love you
Then if this be the case, then Lord carry on
even if it brings a few tears
Make me be, an honorable vessel for you
and just banish all my fears
Whatever the work that you have for me
help me not to question your will
But, give me strength to bear it all
and tell my soul to stand still
Help us to keep a prayer in our hearts
each day that comes around
Send a word of comfort to let us know
that grace will always abound
In the midnight hours, speak your peace
and let your joy overflow within
Rain down on us more grace and mercy
and help us see it to the end
Lord remember the women of many sorrows
tell them that it's all right
Hold on to them each and every day
for you are their shining light
I don't know what each are going through
all I do know is that you care
And whatever the reason of each their flight
I pray you'll always be there
We all have our cross's to bear
and not all are the same
But we can encourage one another
for we all have his name (Jesus)
