Why do so many of the choruses that we sing today,
When comes to Heaven have so little to say?
Oh they Worship His Majesty, Glory, and Grace.
But leave out the part where we’ll look on His Face.
What happened to songs like “I’ll Fly Away,”
To “The Land Of The Unclouded Day”,
“In The Sweet By and By” “There We’ll Never More Die”
“Tis A Land Where We’ll Never Grow Old”?
Now I’ve gotta confess
It’s not the choruses that are a mess,
But my heart strings that God needs to tune,
For the choruses that we sing,
though more than once in awhile,
Should still to my face bring a smile.
But I’m going to “A Land That Is Fairer Than Day”
“Where The Half Has Never Been Told”
“Mansions Over The Hilltops”
“Streets Paved With Gold.”
“Yes That Will Be Glory, Be Glory For Me”
So sing “What A Day That Will Be
When My Jesus I shall See”
As I joyfully grin with a glee.
And “Where With Gladness And Song,
I’ll Be One Of The Throng.”
“When All Of God’s Singers Get Home”

In case you must know, "I'll fly away" is one of my fave songs. It is on my ipod twice. And "sweet By and By" is a beauiful song sung by the right song. Altho the only person I remember singing is J. Doyle...Sarah
