Song Of Solomon 3:1

By night on my bed I sought Him whom my soul loveth; I sought Him but I found Him not.
( KJ )

Many times in our loneliness, heartache, or confusion, upon our beds at night we wonder where is God? Often in times of trouble and confusion we will began our search for answers. This very trouble will often lead us to God.

I am reminded of a young lady I met in our local county jail.
I will call her Jane, ( not her real name ) The first time we met the bad scars on her face was the first thing that caught my attention. As I looked into her eyes I noticed a deep sadness and wondered what had brought her to this place.

The Holy Spirit let me know she had been raised in church and her father was a pastor.

As our study started, the first question was asked by one of the ladies.

I turned to Jane and said, "Jane You were raised in church, Right?"

With a slight smile and a soft voice her reply was just, "yes."

Maybe you could answer this question for us. She was not quite ready to join in our discussion yet so we continued with our study.

As the weeks went by Jane would sit in on our services but never speak and would not allow anyone to pray for her.

The Lord had given me such a burden for her. I placed her name on many prayer list. With just this request,Pray for this girls broken heart.

Slowly, Jane’s story took shape, not only was she raised in church but she attended three years of Bible college. The scars on her face were there because some man had set her on fire.
She was here now in the violent section of the county lock up for felony child abuse.

Jane’s story is like so many stories I hear behind prison walls.

My heart cries , “What can I do Lord? What can I say that will reach into their hearts with your love.”

Wake up, wake up! We have a generation of young people searching for answers.

I know it would shock you to discover the number of apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors, and teachers that are this very minute locked away in jail cells.

Like Jane, they have lost there way. Upon their beds at night they search for the one that loves their soul. They remember the day salvation first came. The prayers they once prayed and commitment they made, Beyond any words they can speak, they remember their love for the Cross and the One that gave his life for them. He was their one true desire, the very breath that they breathed.

“Can you hear their hearts cry?”

Please, someone can you tell me where is my Beloved?

Jane became violent and was in lockdown. She had not eaten for 14 days. Three days ago she was taken to the state mental hospital.

My prayer is, Jesus please reach through the dark hour of her soul with your love once again.

Our user friendly churches have made it so easy to come to Christ.

What joy we have taught the baby Christian. The joy of new birth in Christ is a wonderful experience.

The question is,"Have we taught them about the progressive work of the cross? What will they do when the time of testing comes?"

A baby will not remain a baby forever.

Over and over we lay the foundation of Christ. What if we taught our own children in a similar way? Over and over we would teach them to eat, to walk , to dress their selves. When the time came for them to leave our homes, would they be prepared for all the complexities of life?

We as ministers of Christ must go beyond the laying of the foundation of Christ.

Our propose is to equip others to walk in the fullness of Christ.

In their walk with Christ the day of darkness will come. Will they be prepared for the day satan desires to sift them?
Like Jane and so many thousands of others will they fall into darkness?

Behind the walls of our prisons there are many that were once babes in Christ but have lost their way.

Upon their beds at night their hearts cry is where is my beloved?
May the leaders of God arise and teach them of the greatest love ever given to man.
We have been created to" Know Him" in an intimate relationship.

Let us join ours hearts with the heart of Christ, when they discover the Christ within them may they come forth in victory. leaning on the arm of their beloved.

Song of Solomon 8:5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? -------- (KJ)

Notes-----

Hebrews 6

1. Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2. Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3. And this will we do, if God permit.

Ephesians 4
11. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
14. That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Song of Solomon 3

I was really touched by your story about this young woman. I pray that God will reach deep into the heart of this young woman and convict her of her need for him and Christ's love for her. I roay for a miracle in her life. May God bless you in your ministry to those in bondage in prisons.

Amen, Amen, Amen, Kathy. What's equally as sad is this; many Christians outside of the prison Jane is in, are still imprisoned. They have prison walls in their heart. They're crying to get free for the same reason. God help us all to help each other. God bless you.
