Suppose there would have been Three Wise Women? They would
have asked directions, been on time, helped deliver the baby,
cleaned the stable, brought practical gifts, and made a casserole.
Women are so practical. Normal men would have brought a
Nintendo, a baseball mitt, a remote control racer, and a skateboard.
Just asking, but what will you bring the Savior this year for
Christmas? Dec. 25 is probably an arbitrary date set by an early
Pope and possibly way off target because shepherds would
probably not be out in the hills with their flocks at night at the end
of December -- mid-summer would be more like it. Does the exact
day really matter? I think not -- it's just nice that at least once a
year we indicate our gratitude to God for bringing our Savior/
Messiah in such a miraculous way.
Are you grateful enough that you have given your life to serving
Jesus Christ? Have you made Him Lord of your life? Wouldn't
this Christmas season be the perfect time to give the gift of your
life to God through faith in Christ? Most of you have -- perhaps
some still haven't. You can turn your life from tinsel to terrific!
Jesus said in John 10:10, "...I am come that they might have life
and that they might have it more abundantly" -- that's God's gift to
you, and even giving your life to Him is an unfair exchange, but
please do it. No gift wrapping required -- come as you are.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
