He dozed up and slept a bit
He woke and stroke the mouth
With the bat of his hand;
“So quick” he said
As he stretched and yawn
But several hours had passed.
“I just slept not quite long”
Yes, you think so.
Reluctantly he rose up
And rush to the bath
If he could make up the lost
But “time” is a no nonsense gift;
Ever conscious of the dwelling rift!
But you are not conscious
That time is generously loaned out
To all in the same counting:
To the president and the peasant:
To the rich and the poor
To the professor and the illiterate.
Hour by hour
Day by day
Year by year,
Its vapour disappears
Only in some “longless” dawn
Have presented its condensed reward.
Time is a loan!
The life’s free gift!
It pays on the token of “reward”;
That’s if wisely used
For foolish acts.
If wrongly managed
You’ll find yourself in valley of bankruptcy.
Diligence conquers and captures time
But the lazy man is captured and tortured by “time”
Time is a loan!
Pay it back
You’ll either be commended with rewards
Or be condemned by regrets!
Time is a loan.
