Man's Five Senses

Just as an empty canyon
Transforms beauty from within its rim
God created man with five senses
To bring honor and glory to Him...

The sense of sight moves through the eye
To perceive, glimpse, and view
In a sanctified state imagination becomes faith
So full of God's light of truth...

The sense of taste moves through the mouth
To taste, detect, and distinguish
If we believe in God's word, our reason becomes prayer
To better serve Him in truth and holiness...

The sense of smell moves through the nose
Shaped like a tower with an outward downhill slope
Its importance to discern the fresh from unclean
Just as unclear conscious finds God driven hope...

The sense of hearing moves through the ear
To enjoy life's sounds each God given day
When we reverently hear God's word and see the truth
We can exercise our will in choosing to obey...

The sense of touch moves through the hand
From affection to worship - from within to without
Symbolic of the feeling that extends God's plans
With sanctified hands our touch never doubts...

God gave us our five senses
And in generosity, gives His eternal best to us
God also desires for us to be clean in our body -
In sight, taste - smell, hearing, and touch....
