“The Special Guest”
So many things to all of us,
Far too many to try to name.
Imprinted in my heart is her love,
Imprinted in my mind is her name:
(Mother and friend)
Scenes race through my closed eyes,
Last words spoken, last minutes in time.
For the Lord gave her life and now taketh away.
But as for my heart, alive she will stay,
I know,
the Lord will hold me in His arms, until I am at peace,
Until my pain fades and is released.
Memories of joy will fill the picture,
As time passes on – into the future
I will be of good cheer, for what is important is where she rests,
She sits at the Lords table, as His special guest.
For heaven has now received a beloved gift-
“A beautiful angel" my mother, my friend!
