A Letter to an Unknown Person
I was in His presence again. Although I could feel Him, I could not see Him. And, I was on my knees, hands stretched in front of me, crying, not just a simple cry, but wailing, tears rapidly cascading down my face. The tears were not for me, but for some unknown, unseen person. I knew not whether it was male or female, young or old, or even where this person lived. (For a lack of known gender, I will refer to this person as he, since in our society; he can often be entwined to be her.)
My words were inaudible as I groaned a foreign, unknown language. But, I sensed that they were words of pleading, begging and prayers for him. My heavy heart ached. I could feel each beat as it drummed inside my chest cavity. It felt as if it my rib cage itself was being bruised from the force and would soon cave in. Someone was hurting, and I was feeling his pain, his heartache. “Please”-then more incomprehensible sounds spewed forth.
Suddenly, I was awake, back in my bed.
So, now, I am writing a letter to you, this unknown person. I know that you are out there, and I recognize your pain. Although I do not know what you are going through, or the cause of your heartache, I have felt the agony, the helplessness, the hopelessness that you are experiencing.
I have also felt your sense of being alone, that no one understands or cares what you are experiencing. How you don’t know where to turn or who to turn to. The very “aloneness” you are feeling of going through this situation without anyone there, no hand to hold on to, no shoulder to lean on.
You are not alone. Yahweh, our Father loves you so much, that He allowed His son, Yahshua to die, naked, nailed to a tree for you. And, Yahshua, Christ, He loved you so much that He was willing to do so. You may have seen pretty pictures of Him hanging on the cross. But, it wasn’t that way. It was not pretty. It was gruesome, but, it had to be that way. You see, He was beat and whipped. Life often seems to beat up on us. The whips used on Him were leather straps with pieces of metal balls and/or glass that ripped through His flesh. The crown of thorns that was placed upon His head was actually woven with poisonous thorns that stung and burned. (Unknown to many, this is a symbol with Satan being a snake-a rattlesnake will not cross across thorns, and it is said that a roadrunner when it catches a rattlesnake sleeping will actually place a circle of thorns around the snake. The end result is that the snake will either starve itself to death or commit suicide by biting itself in frustration.) So when you hear the words “Through His stripes we are healed”, this healing is also a mental, emotional and yes, spiritual healing as well as a physical healing.
Yahshua, Himself, knows how it is to feel alone, to be rejected. He was betrayed by His own friend, a disciple. No one came to His defense or side when He was going through His trial or being nailed to the tree. He was even denied by His closest disciple. When close to death, He had to endure the gulf, the separteness from His Father for the first time in His life. He did this so that He could pay the penalty for sin, the breech that it puts between us and Yahweh.
Last but not least He died of a broken heart just for you and me. They pierced His side with a sword and blood and water flowed out. The only way this could have happened is that His heart ruptured, burst.
Yahshua, in His love for you was willing to experience any and every pain that you may have to face, then suffer its’ consequences so that you would not have to. You can always feel secure in the knowledge that He has been there, He has experienced, and He understands what you are undergoing. And He is there, waiting for you to turn to Him.
Even alone as you may feel in this world, you are not. He has not just me, but many others, unknown to you, praying, crying and wailing for you. He also has sent His Holy Spirit, also known as the “Comforter” to be with you, if you will accept him.
So whoever you may be and whatever you may be going through, please, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, call upon Him. He is there waiting for your call.

Kathleen, Well written, We are never alone! Blessings, Rita
Yes, it is so hard sometimes to understand that He is lowly for our benefit, that He not only understands our pain and grief, but suffered it Himself. That's why He rode in on a donkey when the Father would gladly have given Him and could easily have provided Him with a fine chariot. He's not some prince or king in a long purple robe, with a tall golden crown full of jewels. Rather, He is lowly and knows every secret place in our hearts... even better than we know ourselves. Fine, fine article... just as I have come to expect when I read your work.
