The Christian can learn to grow spiritually by reading the Bible. Bible reading is to my (your) soul what food is to my (your) body. You must eat in order to live. As newborn babies desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby. A baby must have milk often, or the baby will die or become sick. You must eat of spiritual food everyday in order to be a healthy Christian.
Christians are not perfect people. We are to never give up. We must aim at the moon, even if we hit the streetlight.
We can become discouraged so easily, we forget that God cares for us, we forget the blessings of the past, and we forget how God has brought us out of our troubles on other instances. God cares for the lilies of the field and not a sparrow falls without His knowledge.
Isaiah 26:3 has wonderful words for us to reach "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee."
Plan for a set time every day for Bible reading. This is the one thing that the devil will try to cheat you out of, if he can. The devil will try to crowd out this time of Bible reading, this partaking of spiritual nourishment, the milk of the Word, you will never understand the meat of the Word (deeper things of God). The Devil Is Smart, He Would Keep A Young Christian From Growing Strong, Than To Fight A Strong Christian Later. He will keep you form getting a fair start in this Christian race. This spiritual strength and growth is not gained overnight, you "Must" be consistent and regular in your partaking of spiritual nourishment. It takes time to build spiritual muscles.
The greatest poets, writers, artists, statesmen/women, and rulers have been Christians.
