If You Get Caught Up In The Spirit You Can't Operate In The Flesh
If You Get Caught Up In Spirit
You Canít Operate In The Flesh
There is therefore now no condemnation to them; which are in Christ Jesus, who walks not after the flesh, but after the Spirit
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made us free from the law of sin and death
For what that law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit
For they that are after the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the spirit, the things of the spirit
If you get caught up in the spirit, you cannot operate in the flesh, you want get caught up in the dirt. Caught is past tense and past participle of catch. Catch means to capture or seize, especially after a chase to take by trapping or snaring, to come upon something suddenly, unexpectedly, or accidentally. To lay hold of forcibly or suddenly, grasp, to overtake, entangle, and grip, to become hooked. Operate means to function effectively, work; to bring about a desired or proper effect, to perform surgery, to run or control the functioning of and to conduct the affairs of, manage, or to bring about an effect. Spirit is that which is traditionally believed to be the vital principle or animating force within living beings, the Holy Ghost; that which constitutes oneís unseen, intangible being; the essential and activating principle of a person, the will, oneís mood, or emotional state. Flesh is the soft tissue of the body; especially skeletal muscle, distinguished from the edible tissue of the fish or sometimes fowl. Flesh is also the surface or skin of the human body as distinguished from the mind or soul. Flesh is manís physical or carnal nature; their sensual appetites, mankind. Flesh and blood is human nature or physical existence together with its weaknesses. Fleshly means inclined to or concerned with carnality, sensual, sybaritic, not spiritual, but worldly.
Do not let your life catch the fire of Hell. Hell is always chasing you. Donít get caught up in the web of life that it tangles you up to snare you, put a grip on you and you become hooked, trapped, ensnarled. You are in Satanís grasp.
Have you ever seen a saint function effectively in sin? They just look awkward, out of place; they usually feel that way also! Usually they will not bring about the proper effect of their sin, so they gets thrown out of the boat or company of who they are in the midst of the sin with. Even sinners do not want them around. Saints our minds need to be operated on. It is bad when you want to be around sinners and they want no part of you. You remind them of who they are supposed to be.
Flesh refers to:
1. The body or Physical being
2. Sin nature or old nature
3. The epidermis (skin)
4. Manís immaterial nature
5. The whole being of man
Flesh itself is not evil, but it cannot please God, it represents humanity evil nature. Christians has to glorify God in the flesh. The witness of the spirit is the inner assurance of Godís truth. One of the conditions of this inner conviction concerning the things of God is obedience to his known will. Your victory is in your living. Romans 10:2 and John 7:17: For I bear you record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. To know him is to live, to live righteously you must know him, love him and obey him. Deny yourself according to Romans 8:1, walk after the spirit and you want please the flesh. Get caught up in the spirit and you canít operate in the flesh. Righteousness gives us victory if we continue in the spirit. It is our will, our desire to fulfill in us the righteousness of God, when our whole mind, soul, and body are a yielded vessel to righteousness.
We will suffer for what we believe is right, when we are caught up in the spirit. What is in our spirit will react to the spirit. Some only observe Christ and see what he does. But some actually know him and who he really is. Our whole inner being yearns to know him and who he is, and the only way is God reveal to us through spiritual insight as he did with Peter in Matthews 16:17. Knowing Christ in a spiritual way does not mean you are an authority and know it all, because this way is an everlasting way, an ever-learning way. Jesus rebukes us for our lack of spiritual growth. We should be careful to obey the clearly revealed will of God, so as not to hinder this ministry in their lives. The witness of spirit is the inner assurance of Godís truth. God has always wanted to dwell with man and have enjoyable fellowship with us and the way he does this is through his spirit indwelling or living in us, which occurs when we are saved. It produces spiritual experiences, remains permanently, is the basis for all other spiritual ministries of the Holy Spirit and is the source of new life in us. The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit should motivate you to be careful not to harm your body or indulge your body in sin.
And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship
If any man thirst; let him come unto me and drink. He that believe on me as the scripture said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters
I Corinthians 6:19-20
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own. For ye are brought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are Godís
If you will get, caught up in the spirit, you could not operate natural machines; you could not operate in the natural flesh.
The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrines of Christ, let us go on unto perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God. For it is impossible for us to taste of the good word of god and of his power and go back.
When a man walks away from God, he has focused in on something else. He is drawn away and enticed of his own lust. There is a penalty for focusing on the wrong things. When a man fails God, he cannot take looking at himself in the mirror. He beats up on his self and you too if you are there. He does all kinds of hate crimes to himself.
When a man walks with God and turns around from God, he is not worthy of the kingdom of God. Romans 1:32 says, who knowing the judgment of God, that they; which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, when you look away you pay a price that you do not particularly wants to. Looking back is like a dog that returns to its own vomit. It is like a pig being washed for slaughter and he jumps back into the slop bucket. After God told you about your ways once, twice, the third time you are turned over to a reprobate spirit. Three strikes and you are out. You are reprobate and will sin and think you are all right. Our biggest problem is we do not consider the consequences of our actions. God will judge the house and he will move you when he wants to bring judgment.
God will judge your house and allow his wrath to come, even after all of your buts. We must realize that something always come after but.
If you would get caught up in the spirit you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh so readily. You cannot operate in the flesh.
