(1) TODAY, ARE YOU - REALLY FORGIVEN?

Mark 11:25-26

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 6:12, 14-16.

12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses

(2)THESE MESSAGES ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD.
Truly, most wonderful is the Lord, our God.  Here, you can get an idea of the incredible character and goodness of our Almighty Creator.

Luke 6:35

35. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil

Romans 12:14 , 17, 18, 21

14. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not

17. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men

21. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 Corinthians 4:12

12. And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

Matthew 5:44

44. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

1 Peter 3:9

9. Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

(3)CONVINCED THAT WE MUST FORGIVE?

Why not try now? “Dearest Lord God, forgive me my sins. Help me to love You more every day and obey You with all my might. I pray now to forgive everybody. I renounce all bitterness and resentments.  I pray to turn all these things over to You! I pray for my enemies to become Christians; but if they insist on obeying Satan, I plead for Your will over them and Your infinite justice”.

God said, “I shall repay”. You can trust Him absolutely, TO REPAY PROPERLY, Old Boy.

(4)WAS OUR GOD LOVING AND GENEROUS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT ALSO?

Exodus 23:4

4. If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

Proverbs 19: 24:17 , 25:21-22

17. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth

21. If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:

22. For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.

Do you think the Romans or any other nation had comparable instruction, eight or nine centuries before Christ?

(5) FOR THOSE NOT QUITE SURE ABOUT OUR CREATOR:

Your Lord God is your only greatest treasure. There is nothing in our whole world more valuable, more beautiful or more desirable. If you want Him, pray now with me, “Dearest Lord Jesus, forgive me my sins, be the ruler of my life, increase my love for you every day and my obedience!”

After this, clean up your life with the Bible. Check out the guide in “How to read the Bible and clean up your life” in www.remnantonly.info , under Articles. It’s made for you. Christians are GOOD PEOPLE. If you find one that is not good, you found a non-Christian, whatever he calls himself. By “their fruits you shall know them”.

Something most especial is waiting for those who seek the immense goodness of our Lord. God Himself said, that “The ear has not heard and no eye has ever seen, neither can man even imagine the HAPPINESS which God prepared for those who love him” (1 Cor. 2:9, paraphrased, if you please)!

There is no question we should forgive others, as Christ already forgave us. The Bible teaches that those who accept Jesus are already forgiven. Forgiving others cannot be a requirement for God to forgive us or the following verses are untrue. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Eph 4:32 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Col 3:13 We are under the New Covenant. After the cross we see the verses above that tell us to forgive as we have already been forgiven.
