when time didn't bother me.

when we had all the time in the world.
Love was…
a flower that bloomed in time.
You were…
a love that bloomed in me.
Time was…
a friend in our younger days.
Time was…
a teacher that helped make us wise.
Love was…
the way to our world of dreams.
You were…
everything to me.
Now all the time we have left together
can be held in the palm of my hand.
I always thought that we'd live forever.
I didn't know how fast time would pass.
Time may take wings and fly,
but thank God we found love in time.

your greatest gift to me.

a blanket to keep out the cold.

the winter outside our door.
You kept…
my heart from growing old.
Love was…
the strength you instilled in me.
Love was…
my reason to keep going on.
Time is…
a creature of jealousy.

one day soon be gone.
Now all the time that we spent together
is more precious than jewels to me.
I always thought you'd be here forever.
I didn't know how cruel time could be.
