The Martyrs Tears

Like Stephen of old
Their glory does shine
They first saw a gun
And then the Divine
A stand for our Savior
So costly these days
Modern day martyrs
Oh, the price that they pay
Stand up, stand up for Jesus
Ye soldiers of the cross
Lift high His royal banner
It must not suffer loss
I wonder when asked
If in God he believed
Did he see the Father
When his life He received?
More stories follow
And all our hearts break
For our tears send a message
This is a horrid mistake
What some fail to see
And most fail to say
Is a flame blazing bright
It grows day by day
What some meant for ill
God has used for the best
Hearts yearning more
And not settling for less
He says, "Come unto Me
Should you need a place
And I'll give you rest
As you seek my face
I know you've been damaged
By a world gone insane
But I'll give you peace
As you call on my name."
