More Dimensions of Divine Revelation
Hi Faith-writers, I thank God once again for allowing me the privilege to share HIS Word with HIS people. We are going to continue to go deeper into the topic of Divine Revelation. There’s so much we can practically learn, apply and experience, if we take these Biblical teachings to heart, and live it out in our daily walk of faith toward God.
Summarizing the Dimensions of Divine Revelation
In the previous article, we spoke about 3 Dimensions of Divine Revelation we can experience;
1. Being Born-again. The 1st Dimension of Divine Revelation we need to consider and experience if we desire to SEE and Understand the things that take place in the Kingdom of God on earth. (John 3:1-21 NKJV)
2. The 2nd Dimension is experiencing Divine Revelation before we are Born-again. This is what happened to Peter when he was asked by Jesus, “Who do men say that, I am? Peter caught a Divine Revelation and blurred out that Jesus is the Son of the living God! (Matthew 16:13-17 NKJV)
3. Then we learned about the 3rd Dimension of Divine Revelation and saw how the Apostle John came to Revelation about more Names and Titles of Jesus. In the Book of Revelation, John learns about 21 new Names and Titles of Jesus—63 years later after he was Born-again. Demonstrating to us that we too must learn more about Jesus after we are Born-again.
Divine Revelation by the Holy Spirit
There’s another Greek word for the word—(REVEAL). It is ‘Chrematizo,’ this Greek word means, to give Divine admonition, instruction, revelation, and is translated, ‘it had been Revealed’ in (Luke 2:26 NKJV).
Let’s read the story about the Divine Revelation that Simeon experienced, so we can learn how the Holy Spirit will Reveal the things of God to us.
And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. (Luke 2:25 NKJV)
And it had been REVEALED to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. (Luke 2:26 NKJV)
So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, (Luke 2:27 NKJV)
He took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: (Luke 2:28 NKJV)
“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your Word; (Luke 2:29 NKJV)
For my eyes have seen Your salvation (Luke 2:30 NKJV)
Pausing here for a moment we immediately see several things;
1. Simeon was righteous and devout—that is, he was cautiously and carefully living out the word of God in his practical walk of faith.
2. He was waiting for the Consolation of Israel. He was waiting for Jesus to come. Are we waiting for Jesus to come? If we are, then we would walk righteously and be devout or devoted on serving God daily not just on Sunday’s or Religious holiday’s!
3.The Holy Spirit was upon him. Simeon wasn’t Born-again. But he had the Holy Spirit upon him because of the godly lifestyle he lived according to the Old Testament. When we are Born-again the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us, because he rebirths our human spirit and brings it alive to serve God (John 3:1-21 NKJV/ Ephesians 2:1-10 NKJV/ 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NKJV)
When we are Baptized in the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live as powerful witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus (See Acts 1:8 NKJV) Being Born-again is the first step to becoming a full-fledged Christian. Then we must be Baptized in water, and then Baptized in the Holy Spirit. (See Acts 19:1-7 NKJV) This is the Divine Initiation all new believers must go through to become Born-again Holy Spirit filled Christians.
4. It had been REVEALED to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die until he saw Jesus. This is important and I want to focus on this verse. Jesus said to His disciples in John 16:13 NKJV; that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, He will guide us into all truth, He will not speak on his own authority, but whatever HE hears Jesus say--He will speak it to us, and He will show us things to come. The Holy Spirit will Reveal to us things to come, like HE did with Simeon.
For Simeon, the Holy Spirit Revealed to him that he would not die until he sees Jesus.
5. Simeon came by the Spirit into the temple. This is another interesting statement and a Biblical Revelation we need to catch about Divine Revelation, because it was by Divine Revelation that Simeon was led by the Spirit into the temple. In other words, it may have not been Simeon’s scheduled time to go to the temple—but he was inspired by the Holy Spirit that day to go to the temple so he can meet up with Jesus. So, here’s Divine Revelation to go to the place of worship (the Church or Temple) to meet Jesus. On a day you are not scheduled to go or do not normally go.
We need Chrematizo—We need it ‘to be Revealed to us’
1. So we can wait for Jesus to come.
2. So we may continue walking by faith being righteously devoted to serving Him daily.
3. So we may be in expectation of His coming.
4. So we may experience Divine Direction.
5. So we may come into contact with Jesus.
6. So we may SEE Jesus.
7. So we may share a prophetic word when God directs us. Simeon shared a prophetic word to Mary about Jesus’ mission on earth. (See Luke 2:31-35 NKJV)
Once we capture the essence of Divine Revelation in any Dimension that it may come to us, it will cause us to be totally dedicated to experiencing more of God. God desires for us to see something and remain diligent on serving HIM. HE desires that we continue to walk wisely in Divine Expectation to receive more Revelation. So we may make the Divine Application to experience the Divine Manifestations of more Blessings He has in-store for us.
If Simeon would have just brushed that Divine Revelation off about seeing Jesus, as some fantasy or wishful thinking. He would not have continued serving God with the Righteousness and devotion God had caused him to develop.
Divine Revelation will do for us what religion cannot do. Religion causes us to walk on egg shells as we try to serve God—by keeping a bunch of rules and regulations. Divine Revelation will impart a Divine Passion and expectancy to want to learn more about God. And what will be HIS next plan for our lives and the lives of others. That’s the difference between Simeon and Nicodemus. Simeon saw the plan of God--in the Kingdom of God on earth with Jesus, before he actually saw Jesus as a baby. Nicodemus saw miracles and was impacted by them and knew Jesus was a Man of God. But he did not know how the Kingdom of God operated. That’s why Jesus said, he must be Born-again in order to SEE the Kingdom of God. (John 3:1-3 NKJV)
Simeon saw the Kingdom of God in operation. He was instructed by Divine Revelation that he will not die until he saw Jesus. Then he was Divinely led by the Spirit to go to the temple. Then he saw baby Jesus and thanked God for the Divine Manifestation. Then he prophetically spoke a word about the mission of Jesus to Mary. Simeon experienced 4 Dimensions of Divine Revelation about Jesus.
My Testimony of Divine Revelation of Jesus
Jesus appeared to me this year twice, February 5th 2016 and July 10th 2016. So far it’s been 7 times throughout my walk of faith that Jesus appeared to me to instruct me about the purpose HE had for me in the Ministry. I’ve been a Christian since December 28, 1991. I want to share what Jesus showed me this year.
February 5th 2016, I was dreaming that this sorcerer was intimidating me with his evil sorcery. He turned a yo-yo toy into a snake and shot it toward me. I stood there trying to keep my kool, but inside I was intimidated. Jesus shows up and said don’t fear, just stretch out your hand like this—and when the sorcerer attempted to do it again, the snake fell to the ground dead by the power of God. The sorcerer was amazed and ran away.
What does this Divine Revelation in a Dream mean? We have the Power of Jesus with us and we do not have to fear the enemy and his evil servants. Remember Moses and the magicians? Moses’ rod that turned into a snake ate the two snakes that the magicians had thrown to the ground. Demonstrating that the Power of God is greater than the Power of the devil. (Exodus 7:8-13 NKJV)
July 10th 2016, I was waiting for a man of God to show up. And so was everyone in the Church, because he was an Anointed Powerful Minister. I greeted him and left with him. The man of God turned into Jesus. Jesus drove me in this van to a certain town (looks similar to the town of Yonkers N.Y.). After arriving there I looked at all the surrounding area and said to Jesus; ‘Lord, this is not a good location to park. The buildings and houses are sinking. And if it rains there could be a potential mudslide.’ Jesus said, where should we park then? I said, I will drive and look for a better location. I drove far looking for parking and ended up in a remote location.
What does this Divine Revelation mean?
1. Don’t be obsess with men of God and desire to be in their shoes. If you are not ready to Minister with the experience that this Minister have develop over the years of Ministry he had labored. Just wait and develop your own Ministry with Jesus and grow underneath the Anoint God had placed on you over the years. You might surpass the Ministry of anyone you might admire today.
2. Let Jesus drive (lead) you in the Ministry HE desires for you to operate in.
3. Don’t take the steering wheel and go to a different location, if Jesus has you where you are right now. It’s not a coincidence or a mistake where you are. Jesus has allowed for you to be where you are currently living, working, and staying for a period of time until HE takes you somewhere else.
Jesus granted me these Revelations this year so I may stay focused waiting for HIM to do what HE does-- as I do what I have been given to do. It’s HIS calling on my life. It’s HIS way that we have to serve HIM. And when it comes to Power—HIS POWER is always greater than Magicians, Sorcerers, Warlocks, Wizards and the like… So stay strong in the Lord. Desire more Divine Revelation of HIS Divine Purposes and HE shall Direct your path each and every time. May God Bless you with more Divine Revelation in Jesus’ name, Amen.
