Signs and wonders for us to believe
This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.
John 2:11 NKJV
Our eyes opens to its normal size when it views the day to day activities, however are widely opened in astonishment upon witnessing a miracle.
Miracles are not witnessed daily, however many a times for most of us; it’s a prerequisite to believing.
I have also heard prayers such as: “Lord, if I experience your healing/deliverance, I will believe in you, or else I will assume you are not there.” (My question: - while making such a prayer what do you believe? He’s ‘there’ or ‘not there’, for if His existence will be proved by the fulfillment of the prayer, His non-existence is confirmed while making such a prayer.)
The Lord often honors such requirements for only He can perform the miracles and He loves to bless us.
Jesus turned the water into wine and saved the wedding family from disgrace and dishonor; the disciples saw this, experienced it and believed in Him.
Enlisted in the Bible are countless wonders and miracles which the Lord did for all, the healings, deliverances and miracles, He brought in the lives of them who believed.
Having walked with Jesus for almost three and a half years and experienced His wonders, the Apostle Thomas refused to believe the news of His resurrection; He wanted to feel the miracle to believe.
Jesus said this to Thomas:
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
John 20:29 NKJV
Often we too are like Thomas, we need to see (every time) to believe, the Lord understands and honors the beginners, yet they who have known Him and tasted His goodness, the Lord expects them to trust Him.
Job, in the deepest of pain and despair said thus:
For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
Job 19:25 NKJV
God is good at all times and He is in control of everything. Thus let’s always trust in Him. He will surely do wonders for us, for as we believe in Him, He will deliver us.
Let’s never doubt His goodness, for we will never have a Friend better and faithful than our loving Lord.
God Bless,
Abraham
