I have a dream of writing God’s words to us… today.
It’s better than the nightmare of fighting
And believing in what the world has to say.
God’s words are always so exciting!
They calm my soul and they’re so inviting.
This dream is with me night and day, it’s always in my heart.
The words flow through my head so furious and fast
I have to write them down so the thoughts will last.
The temptation must be or so I see it, not to even start.
But start I must, if I really have any heartfelt trust
In what I think God has to say.
Thoughts are things; I believe this to be true.
The things that hold us close to God when we’re down and blue.
So when I write I think of him, my thoughts are pure and new.
I hope in turn he thinks of me. I know he loves me too.
