I am so very blessed
Though I know not why
God would allow his son’s death
For someone such as I
Did not he know
The sins that I would commit
Against he and my neighbors
As proudly I did sit
Upon my throne of righteousness
Better than thou attitudes
Talking about those around me
What extreme latitudes
The Bible tells me
That it is an abomination to him
To sew discord among my brethren
Seeking harm unto them
But alas my Father did know
What crimes I would be guilty of
So he sent forth his Son
To show his eternal love
God is all knowing
What fools we must be
To think of ourselves as wise
And to think he won’t see
How can we hold ourselves
As intelligent beings at all
When daily and hourly
To sin do we fall
Jesus Christ, our savior
God’s one and only Son
Bought my salvation
No matter what I have done
I am so very blessed
And you very well could be to
Trust in he who shed his blood
For the sins of all like me and you
