Please Dear Lord

Winter now comes with the sky so gray
Bitter is the cold this very day
Even so, I bow my head to pray
Forgive me Lord, whatever I do or say
Sinfulness, to my nature is but play
Please Dear Lord, allow me another day

One more day, to try and get it right
Heaven, forever in my mind's sight
Even when I am not so very bright
Allow me the power of your might
So that I may be forgiven, my current plight
Please Dear Lord, protect me through the night

Sin is forever lurking to grab me
No longer a slave to it, but I do still see
I will forever and always need thee
Lord please make me what I should be
Working toward your will to the utmost degree
Forgive me Father, for my sins against thee

David, on the other side of repentence is a closer, more intimate relationship with our Precious Jesus. What else is there to live for? Thank you for reminding me. Jody
