Enjoy the clouds...abandon trust!
Be down and out, be as you choose,
IF you settle for THIS...you LOSE!
Be glum and sad, who cares?
Another's tale will 'outglum' yours.
Just look around, life ain't THAT bad,
Be glum, Old Buddy, be sad!
Be mad, so what?
You COULD be glad for what you've got.
But if induced, and since it's you...
Be blue, my friend, be blue.
There's a little good in EVERY day,
Lots of smiles along the way.
Still...if you're sad, and if you CHOOSE
You've got the right to sing the blues.
I think I'll skip on all of THAT;
I'll find a sweater, grab a hat,
Glance in a mirror, wear a smile
And SHED the blues...they ain't my style!
