I’D LIKE TO BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

Just worshiping around the throne.
I've made my reservations,
I’ve a Mansion there my own.

With Dear old Mom and Dad.
It would be the sweetest present,
This old raggedy sinner ever had.

And from this old world to be free.
It would put a smile upon my face,
to see the brand new mister me.

Now you wanna talk about a grin.
My face would glow from ear to ear,
Praise God forever free from sin.
Oh I’d like to be Home for Christmas,
We’ll be singing a brand new song.
And to hear the angel choruses,
And join in singing with the throng.
Oh I’m going to be Home for Christmas,
Though it just might not be this year.
I know I’ll be Home for Christmas,
“Hal le lu jah” the time is near.
If you’d like to be Home for Christmas,
You must make Jesus Christ your friend,
Then you'll be Home for Christmas,
Where God's worship will never end.
