Behold I Make All things New
Behold means to look and see, it is a call to give attention to. In Revelation 21:5 . He says Behold I am making everything new. And He says ”write” because these words are faithful and true. These are the words that I have whispering in my ear, that "He is making everything new". There is a matter of trust involved here, but as one beholds and doesn’t look away there is a rest and confidence that even if things look contrary in the natural the change is in the making.
It is a requirement for us to Behold and it is possible, more than that, it is the gift of grace to behold, and God is committed to help all to attain this beholding.
So just to recap what are we to behold here? It is, "He is making everything new”. Now let’s look at it a bit from God’s perspective, God’s habitation is heaven this is His throne, in heaven things don’t get old, things don’t corrupt in any way. In other words where God’s habitation is, everything is new, nothing fades nothing is weak or broken. So what He is saying is, that He is bringing restoration to all things Acts 3:21 It is the answer to, ”Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Now where does this start? It starts in the heart of one that believes and it is established when the mouth speaks in alignment with the will of God. Christ being formed in the heart of a person is the will of God for all, it is the beginning and the end of the new, everything else comes from this.
In Isaiah 40:2 it says speak to the heart of Jerusalem, some bibles say tenderly, the Hebrew word ”leb or labe, means ”heart or inner man and mind and will”. We have looked at Jerusalem in other posts and we have seen that it is on par with Christ in us, I cannot see how the two can be separated. I believe that separating the two is failing to see what God is saying to us.
In summing up, directive to obedience here is to ‘Behold’, reason is, there is great reward in it.
If you want to find Christ in the old testament, and want to know what biblical prophecy is all about, to only go as far a seeing Jesus as a man does not give bible answers of bible truths. The new creation is Christ in you, it makes you a son I say this to daughters also, it makes you an heir the right of a first born, this is the new He is making.
The bible answers the great mystery of being formed in the image of God,
The how is, what you see by revelation in the heart, and speak in agreement with your mouth. This is salvation.
God will not fail to keep His word.
The word of God is faithful and true and will bring the new to completion without spot and blemish.
Jerusalem in your heart is where He rules from, that is Christ.
Now is the time of fulfillment

Indeed, God is making everything new in my life by using an accident where i nearly lost my life. Rev 21:4-5 is a promise that He gave me years ago.
