Guidance by Supernatural Thoughts and Plans
Solomon gave us some unique and Practical Wisdom concerning Supernatural Guidance that we must take into consideration and apply. Solomon wrote;
There are many PLANS in a man’s heart, nevertheless the LORD’S counsel—that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21 NKJV)
A man’s heart PLANS his way, but the LORD directs his steps. (Proverbs 16:9 NKJV)
Commit your works to the LORD, and your THOUGHTS will be established. (Proverbs 16:3 NKJV)
Hi Faith-writers, I would like to thank God for all of our Service Men and Women during this Memorial Day Celebration. We appreciate and Honor all the Armed forces for their sacrifice and courage, as they continue to protect our freedoms and the way of life that we worship here in America and abroad. When I look at the news and witness the ongoing slaughters that are happening around the world toward Christians and helpless people by radical extremist and angry Muslims. It’s a blessing that here in America we are not under those extreme atrocities—not yet anyway.
However, as we continue to dig out the Scriptures concerning Supernatural Guidance. We need to consider every angle that God presented in Scripture so we may be fully aware of how God will communicate with us and LEAD and GUIDE us to execute HIS THOUGHTS AND PLANS.
OUR PLANS vs GOD’S PLANS
Proverbs 16:9 NKJV says, “A man’s heart PLANS his way, but the LORD directs his steps”.
David PLANNED on building a Temple for the ARK of GOD to rest in, so that God’s people may come to a nice structure to worship God on the appointed feast days. David shared his PLANS with Nathan the Prophet. Nathan was all for it, he gave David his support. Yet, after they went their separate ways the LORD spoke to Nathan by an Audible Voice and told him, “what David had PLANNED in his heart was a great thing—but that HE did not want David to build it, because David had too much blood on his hands”.
However, David was to get everything ready to build the Temple and to give Solomon the resources and PLANS (Blue Prints) to construct the Temple. (2 Samuel 7:1-29 NKJV/ 2 Chronicles chapters 28-29 NKJV).
This Biblical story is a Practical Old Testament example of a believer who had a PLAN, but the LORD directed his steps to execute that PLAN. (Prov. 16:9 NKJV) We may have a similar PLAN to do something Great for God. However, is it GOD’S PLAN? We must allow God room to change our PLANS, so that we can work with HIM to execute HIS DIVINE PLAN, as David did. That may require extra Prayer and Fasting, or the Counsel of other seasoned men and women of God to execute that PLAN. God may confirm and affirm the PLAN by way of a Dream, a Vision or by an Audible Voice of the Holy Spirit or Angelic Being.
There are MANY PLANS in a man’s heart!
Solomon went on to share more facts about Supernatural Guidance that we must consider. Solomon said, there are MANY PLANS in a man’s heart, nevertheless the LORD’S COUNSEL—THAT WILL STAND. (Proverbs 19:21 NKJV)
* What are our PLANS for our individual lives? What are we contemplating—is it Biblical or humanistic? Is it Scriptural or someone’s philosophical idea?
* What are our PLANS for the future?
* What are our PLANS for our Ministries that GOD entrusted to us? What phase or stage of God’s calling in our lives is being practically fulfilled? What is the next path of Righteousness that God desires for us to walk in?
* What are our PLANS with our family members that we have living with us? Are we providing the necessary support or do we need to let them move on—yet, we are too afraid to tell them they have to leave?
* What are our PLANS with our spouses? Did we seek God to provide us with a short and or a long term goals and PLANS that need to be executed?
* What are our PLANS with our children and their goals and dreams they desire?
* What are our PLANS with our children in regards to their educational needs? Where will they go to school? What door have God opened for them to attend a public, private or charter school?
MY TESTIMONY OF GOD’S PLAN FOR MY DAUGHTER: In the summer of 2014, I prayed silently about my daughters educational goals. I said, Lord, I don’t have money for a private school. And I don’t want her in these wild and under-funded or failing schools. So, I left it at that trusting God will answer my Prayer. Then my wife told me she’s going to apply to several charter schools to see which one would accept my daughter. Success Academy was the first charter school to reach out to us. God answered my Prayer. Success Academy is awesome! Well disciplined, extremely tuff on ensuring a decent education, well-funded and my daughter is reading and doing math problems on a first grade level. My wife is a 1st grade charter school teacher and privately told me that her kids are not on my daughters’ level—and my daughter is in kinder-garden. Gabby graduates next month Praise God!
* What are our PLANS if God forbid our company goes bankrupted? Do we have a backup PLAN or another skill set that can enable us to enter another field to stay afloat financially and remain working? What can we expect from God during such a crisis? Another open door? Another place of employment or do God wants us to go into full-time Ministry?
We can make all sorts of PLANS to safeguard us during challenging situations and unexpected disasters or unexplained circumstances that we may encounter. However, when it comes to the actual experience of entering the most difficult situations, or something as small as, a simple job lost that can throw us into a financial tailspin. We need to be ready to learn what God has to say, or find something written in HIS Word about our challenge, so we may be able to take on the Challenge with the Wisdom of God that is found in Scripture.
If I did not consider God’s Counsel by examining the Scriptures concerning my situation with my current employment, and why did God closed the door to the Construction world, and open the door to the Maintenance world. I would have jumped ship and ran toward something that was not God’s Will for my life. Let me say, that I would have never been on Faith-writers, I would not have been used by God to write all these articles and the Body of Christ would not have all these teachings. I’m not boasting here, I’m being straightforward. I would not be able to teach working somewhere else—especially in Construction.
So when I reflect on how did I get here—it was all God ordained to write articles on Faith-writers. I had no intention on being an online Minister. I had a Dream about it way back in the summer of 2000. But for this Ministry to be realized, God spoke to me to begin writing online by an Audible Voice. And here I am 247 articles and 4 ½ years later. God has made me into a free-lance Christian writer. Glory to God!
COMMIT YOUR WORKS
Solomon gave us more practical insight about being Supernaturally led by God. Solomon wrote, Commit your works to the Lord, and your THOUGHTS will be established. (Proverbs 16:3 NKJV)
Notice what is being said here, COMMIT YOUR WORKS TO THE LORD. What are you currently working on? What kind of Project? Is it something in College, at Work in your job or corporation? Where ever we find ourselves currently working or in school or both, that is what God is talking about. God wants us to COMMIT OUR WORK TO HIM. How do we do that? By simply saying, Lord, I’m stuck on this Project at work or school. I don’t know what to do or where to go with it to make it work effectively. I ask in Jesus name, that YOU release YOUR Wisdom into my spirit, soul and body to complete this Project.
As you Prayed wait for a few moments, meditate on how God bless, David and Solomon to build the Temple and other Projects and believe that HE can and will assist you personally to build your project. Then when you least expect it, ideas that you have never thought of will start to come to mind on how to build and finish the Project. God may speak to you in a Dream or a Vision or by an Audible Voice.
Every day when I was in Construction, I would end the day thanking God, and I would silently Pray, Lord, how do I tackle this situation at work tomorrow? As I shower and prepare for bed I would thank the LORD for blessing me with a job, Family, and I would count my blessings, pray in tongues quietly laying down next to my sleeping wife, and BOOM, thoughts come to me to set up the job site a certain way, lead and guide the workers on the site to do their jobs as a Construction Manager would. And the end result, would be workers coming to me privately and saying, Manny, I have never worked with a site Manager like you. Thank you, for making my job easier I learned a few things that I never knew.
This is the result of applying what Solomon wrote here, COMMIT YOUR WORKS TO THE LORD, AND YOUR THOUGHTS WILL BE ESTABLISHED (Proverbs 16:3 NKJV). The Word of GOD is that simple and Practical. God wants to be involved in all YOUR WORKS! HE did not bless you with the job and then left you all alone to tackle some challenging work issues—all by yourself. Now, if you think you can handle it all by yourself—God will let you go on your own. When HE sees you’re going under, trust me God will send help and advice your way. But if you choose to be stubborn and think you know it all—be careful if you don’t fall. Only by pride comes contention: but with the well advised is wisdom (Proverbs 13:10 NKJV)
The bottom line is, God desires for us to;
1. Lay all our Plans on HIS table. And HE will reveal HIS COUNSEL to us that will work and stand the test of time. Solomon’s Temple is still up today, even though it’s been destroyed and burnt several times over the ages. That’s Divine Durability!!!
2. When we Plan our ways, we should allow room for change, because God will direct our steps.
3. And finally, let’s commit all our works to the Lord, so we can be established on what to do, Amen.
