Timeless landscapes,
Bleached soils,
Dark, ice scoured ancient rocks,
Fields of grass,
Wild in their profusion,
Defining placid lake shore
Of deep black waters of quiet depth,
Ringed by rugged granitic outcrops-
The deep silent woods,
Gloomy in their dark depth,
Stretching far beyond eye sight,
Fir trees liberally spring,
upright in all directions;
A canopy of impressive silence-
A stork in a smooth dive planes,
Barely skirting waters mirror surface,
Wind rustling through sparse undergrowth,
Swishing through high branches, and-
Silence like a covering
All of nature's own definition
Encircle a world all on its own,
