Gospel
The Bible is proven to be the most ever read book in the world which speaks volumes of its profound insight and teachings. However, even in the face of this verified revelation, there are still countless souls who remain lost as they continue to reject Christ. Both the Old and New Testaments are filled with divine knowledge to prepare us to achieve eternal residency in Heaven; but it depends on how serious minded we are about the context of God’s Word.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
The Word of God is a reflective truth of the Holy Spirit carried out through prophets who were specifically chosen by our Heavenly Father. The message is precise and comprehensive to all of whom are willing to receive the invaluable essence in which it was written. For some people, human authored manuals which detail the intricate assembly of various gadgets and such are more easily accepted; regular instructions for building and implementing infrastructural workings worldwide. However, when it comes to the Manual of Life which offers actual prophecy and true spiritual enlightenment, the same level of concentration exerted toward a man written manual remains elusive to the majority of readers.
2 Peter 1:21 “For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
Reading the Bible daily will strength our faith and ultimately convict us in our sinful nature to use our free will to make wiser choices especially during hardships and temptations. The Word of God is literally food for the soul to help encourage us to overcome obstacles, to provide sustaining peace of mind and spirit, to genuinely forgive, to offer compassion, to remain hopeful, thankful and faithful when faced with unforeseen challenges, but most of all, it teaches us how to love unconditionally. As a result of studying the Bible, it is our responsibility to not only help spread this profound truthful way of living to others; but to also practice what we preach through our own actions.
Romans 10:17 “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”
The Bible teaches us to pray for one another and to establish unity in love and understanding. However, we must first learn how to comprehend God’s Word to the fullest extent of our spirit so that we are equipped to exemplify the level of discipleship taught therein. We are to confess God’s Word in boldness, prayer and unashamed reverence for Christ which will help to encourage one another as well as to rejuvenate our own spiritual growth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes”
In the book of Hebrews we are taught to pay careful attention to God’s Word because it will help us to learn to not backslide and remain in a state of constant sin. The only way to escape the dangers of hell is from reading, receiving and accepting every word expressed in this omniscient Book. God’s Word contains the only truth capable of saving our souls from the evil forces prevalent in this life. It feeds our minds and spirits and details how vitally important it is to have faith for the salvation of our souls. It teaches the ramifications of what occurs by choosing to walk on the wide road, and it also teaches us to remain focused and disciplined to tread down the narrow road which leads to everlasting life with Christ.
Hebrews 2:1-3 “We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. 2 For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.”
It is imperative that we realize whenever we share the Word of God; we do it with humility and in a non judgmental manner. There are so many atheists who claim that Christians are big time hypocrites and so they use this as an excuse to rationalize their unbelief. God judges our hearts so let us demonstrate how genuine our faith in Him is by presenting ourselves as sincere believers. I hope and pray that anyone reading this spiritual message will choose to pick up the Bible and read it as if their life depended upon it; because in all actuality, it does.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
May peace, joy, grace, faith, hope and love forever fill your hearts and homes.
