"The invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"-Romans 1:20
Some people say they are atheists; that is, they don't believe God exists. This belief-or should I say this unbelief--does not stem from a lack of education. Many scientists believe in evolution, as opposed to believing that God created the universe. Through textbooks they so indoctrinate the students of our public schools.
The difficulty in establishing the reality of God lies in the fact that He is invisible. How do you prove someone exists when you cannot see the person? However, God has provided us a powerful witness for Himself in the form of His creations. Through them, we can see His handiwork. The resiliency of the land to rebound from the many environmental disasters and destructive wars throughout history, the sufficiency of the earth to sustain its billions of inhabitants, the vast variety of plants and creatures, and the ingenuity of the solar system testify of God's power and wisdom.
The idea of knowing things about a person without having actually seen him or her is not a novel idea. When someone visits your home, and they look around they can tell a lot about you-whether you are organized or not; whether you are a stickler for detail or not; whether you properly maintain your home or not, etc. Similarly, an employer can look at the resumes of applicants from all over the country, and before meeting any of the job seekers he can tell whom he is certainly not interested in.
The crown of God's creations, of course, is humanity. Our little brain is too complex for the greatest minds to ever understand. How God perpetuates the human race through women bringing children into the world via the birth canal is mind-blowing.
God's creative works transcend language barriers. No matter where people live, the creations are a universal language testifying of His reality.
Dear Lord, I stand in awe of You. The more I study the creations the more I realize how little I know about Your wisdom and power. Your reality cannot be denied.... Amen.
