(This teaching is taken from the book "Restoring the 8th Breach" by David Vaughn)
None of us can boast of any good works outside of Jesus working in our lives. This is a great mystery but one that is understood by those who have the pre-eminent of Jesus manifested in their life. He is our life, our expression, our power, our anointing, our hope, and our glory. He is well able, and has the authority to use the parts that are least honorable to honor the whole. When we understand this simple truth, we can go to the Holy of Holies without fear, and experience the Godhead presence and love, that He Himself ordained for us as sons of God.
We should long for the day when we as a body, become one as He and the Father are one. We should long for the day that the Father’s Kingdom is manifested on earth, through the Body of Christ, as it is in heaven, so He (Jesus) will be glorified and seen as great as He really is.
Like the first Adam, (Gen. 2:21,22), one day Jesus (the second Adam), (1Cor.15: 45-49) will take out of His Body (the last Adam), all the parts that make up the woman that He calls His Bride. We should want to be a part of the bride. We should want our beloved to call us His! Therefore, we should act like a bride and not a groom. We should see ourselves as Christ sees us (as His bride). We should not take the leadership role away from Jesus as was warned in Genesis 3:16 (the woman). And, we should not lord over anyone who is in Christ.
As the Apostle John spoke in parable of the Elect Lady (2 John), as the personification of a local church, and her children as the members, we too, should see Her that way.
Let us not take pride in the gifts, anointing, or appointments, but present the callings that are bestowed upon us, to Jesus, and let Jesus exercise them from the Holy of Holies to the outer court as our marriage “Hope Chest.” And in this and this alone, should we put our trust, for we should be in love with a man, and his name is JESUS.
What does the above have to do with glory, and the restoration of the Tabernacle of David? Everything! Because, it is the Tabernacle of David!
The place that David entered into was the Holy Place. After David entered the Holy Place, he experienced Jesus, the Holy One, which is the glory of God, and He ruled from that throne, INSIDE David's spirit. In other words, David experienced "Christ in him, the hope of Glory," that Paul wrote about in the New Testament, hundreds of years later.
Now, we can understand why Jesus called himself the son of David. Jesus, not only come from the loins of David as a man, but most importantly Jesus came from the loins of the Tabernacle, in Glory, as the Son of God.
David saw forward in time to the cross, and experience Christ in him, as the Glory. David walked in that Glory. He wrote the Psalms in that Glory. He danced in that Glory. And killed Goliath in that Glory. God gave him the plans of the Tabernacle while in that Glory and he understood that the Glory was not a cloud or a place, but a person, the Lamb of God, who was his Bridegroom.
Paul saw back to the cross, and understood the Tabernacle of David was in Glory. Both David and Paul understood by revelation, and experience "Christ in you, the hope of Glory" (Col.1:27). This is the mystery which had been hidden from ages and from generations. But NOW, has been revealed to the saints! To us, God willed to make known what are the RICHES OF THE GLORY, of this mystery, among the gentiles WHICH IS, "Christ in you, the hope of Glory" (Compare Col. 1:25, 26, 27, 28).
Thus, the Tabernacle of David, was the New Jerusalem, John illuminated in the Revelation of Jesus by saying that the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb is the temple of the New Jerusalem in you (Rev 21).
David went in and experienced it, Paul got the revelation and wrote about and experienced it, and John saw it inside himself; The Revelation of Jesus Christ. The angle said to John when he took him into the Spirit realm, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God" (Rev. 21:9, 10).
This all happen when the angel showed John the bride, inside of Christ, in him! Therefore making New Jerusalem, the bride, the Lambs wife, inside every Christian.
Whether we ever venture this far in our walk in the spirit, is totally up to us. We can stay in the outer or inner court, or we can go deeper and live in the city. We can abide in Him, or we can live outside and only let Him abide in us. We can ether experience His anointing (letting Him live in us), or we can go deeper and experience Him as our husband (letting Him be Lord)!
How great it is to see the anointing, feel the anointing, and walk in the anointing. We sometimes fall in love with the anointing, and not in the one whom anoints. We even fall in love with the gifts, and not the giver. We think because we are anointed, that God will use us, or is forced to use us because of the anointing.
No, the anointing is like new wine that was made ready for the wedding feast. If we fall in love with the new wine, we will become a drunkard and get drunk on the wine, and spill it all over ourselves. The new wine was to be poured out to the guests, and not for us to get drunk on. Do we love the new wine more than Jesus? Do we love or anointing more than Jesus? Jesus is the Glory of the Father, and if we touch the Glory with our fleshly desires, we could experience sudden death like the priest of the Tabernacle of Moses.
The prophets are speaking many prophecies about the seasons of a great outpouring of Glory in the coming year of 2003. Remember the Glory is not something like tongues, it is someone name, Jesus!
We must not make this mistake. When we go beyond the throne, and enter the New Jerusalem, the Glory will appear. We too, can walk in the Glory, have the mind of Christ, and be adorned in our wedding gown. But, it is Jesus that is the one to be honored as the Bridegroom, not our wedding dress.
Do not invite others to come to our meetings, to see how well dressed we are, that's not the intent. Jesus is high and lifted up and His train (Glory) fills the temple. It is all about HIM not US, or our experience of His Glory.
This is not a Revival, this is not a "New Thing," it has been available from the time of David through or generation. Jesus established the Tabernacle of David, and it will last forever! "And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come, Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely" (Rev. 22: 17).
The prophet Isaiah spoke of this day when he said, "The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; So he shall open, and none shall shut; And he shall shut, and none shall open. And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house. And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons. In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall: and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it" (Isaiah 22: 22-25).
Yes Jesus is the way, and no man shall enter the Glory except through the cross. When Jesus was nailed to the cross, He was stretched out and those nails were driven through His left and right hand, exposing Him as the alpha and omega. His feet were crossed, and a nail was driven through both feet. His side was laid open, and blood and water flowed.
When we partake of His death, our hands, the five-fold ministry, will be nailed securely on the cross. Our feet, the vessels to take the anointing to others, will be nailed securely on the cross. When our innermost parts, the bosom of Abraham, is opened, a river of living water, purified by His blood will flow. Then we will see a Lamb that was slain in all His Glory, be crown King of kings and Lord of lords. In His presence is fullness of Joy, and there will be no need for our anointing, no need for our gifts, no need for our callings. They will be as nothing. Jesus will get all the praise, the entire honor, and all the Glory.
The Holy Spirit will teach us how to go in and come out. With great caution, we must learn how to conduct ourselves in the House of God. For it is at these times, that we can be deceived. Even the elect shall be deceived. "For there shall arise false Christ, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" (Mat. 24: 24).
Those who touch the glory with their flesh will die. So the false Christ, who comes as an angle of light, satan himself, will deceive the prophets, who are living off their anointing and positions. These prophets will tell you it is in this place or that place. DO NOT listen to them, and DO NOT go! Their glory is the glory of man, and not the Glory of Christ or the Glory of God. Their temples will be destroyed, and they will run out of oil. They will use their wine for themselves, and not serve it to others. Their sacrifice will not be proven by fire. Their ministry is in the outer courts and not from the Holy of Holies. They fit Jesus into their schedule instead of letting Jesus fit them into His. They invite Jesus into their ministry, instead of abiding in His Glory.
We must recognize the difference between the Bride and the Harlot!
Is the wheat-----------------------------------Is the tares
Sons of God-has a Father--------------------------Bastards-no father
Wants the anointed one-----------------------Wants the anointing
Wants the giver------------------------------------Wants the gifts
Has a husband-----------------------------------Has no husband
Wants intimacy with Jesus-------------------------Wants praise from man
Wants to know God personally-----------------Wants the presence of God only
Wants the King-------------------------------Only wants the kingdom
Drinks from Christ's well---------------------Drinks from Jacob's well
Wants New Jerusalem----------------------Wants New Jerusalem to escape hell.
We also shall see two baptisms of the Holy Spirit. One is real, and the other is false. We must know the difference, and have discernment to not follow the false and walk in our own spirit, and call it the Holy Spirit. We must rightly divide the spirit, soul, and body, with the Word of God, to know what is real. Test the spirits:
Has the very breath of God(Acts2)--------------------Has no breath or life
Jesus is the all-consuming fire(Acts2)----------------Substitutes anointing for fire
New Heart/New Spirit (Ez.36:22-38)-----------------Stops working on Monday
Brings conviction(John 16:8-15)----------------------Brings criticism and doubt
Regeneration(Titus 3:3-8)-----------------------------Has pride
Glory of Christ(2Thes.2:13)----------------------Substitutes the anointing
Indwells you (John 14:17 Rom.8:9-11)
Teaches you (John 14:26)
Guides you (John 16:13)
Glorifies Christ(John 16:14)
Gives you the ability to preach(Acts 1:8)
Has the Love of God(Rom. 5:5)
Gives you the ability to walk in Holiness(Rom.8:1-9 Gal.5:16-25)
Imparts gifts for ministry(1Cor. 12:4-11)
Strengthens your inner man (Eph. 3:16)
If you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit you will know it. Every day, you will be more conformed to the image and likeness of the Godhead. Your desire will be to serve without having to have a title other than friend. Love will be more important then your excellency of speech or your "word for today."
You will see the very depth of the heart of Christ, and know that the pain of the cross was but a moment, compared to the pain of daily seeing names blotted out of the Book of Life. You will be free from the law, and become a bond-slave to love, for God is love. Your eyes will be focused on the littlest hint of light in others, instead of looking for their darkness.
You will begin to appreciate your surroundings as the handiwork of God, the creator. Your joy will not come from fancy cars, boats, homes, or ministry, but from the intimacy and a love-affair with Jesus. Faith, hope, and love will become your personality, and will be what others see in you. As these three increase, anointing, gifts, and position decrease.
When these things become manifested within our life, then, and only then, can we say with truth, Jesus Christ is LORD! It will be then, that the key of David will be presented to you, and you will unlock the gates, enter the courts, and worship before, around, and through the throne. You have become one with Jesus, recognizing He is the Glory of the Father, and His kingdom comes on earth, just as it is in heaven.
A still small genal, loving, compationate, patience, kind, and forgiving voice speaks,"Go, therefore and make disciples… teaching them to observe all things..!" (compare Mat. 28:18-20).
