Incarcerated
Put in jail, shut in, confined, prison, enclosed place
Doing time
What are you doing while you’re doing time?
Where is God trying to bring you to?
When you are incarcerated your abilities are limited
You are not free to move, operate
You are told what you can and cannot do
You see a doctor when you are sick if they see fit
Why would you want to be incarcerated?
How can you be spiritually incarcerated?
In the mind – Phil. 2:5, let this mind be in me that was also in Christ Jesus. To many of us are free but bound in our minds
In Spiritual Lockdown – A hole you put yourself in. Lockdown means rigid, unmovable, jammed or forced together to make unmovable, confine or safeguard behind lock, securely fastened away from others with no privileges. You are punished without a cause, just because God lives inside of you and you wont conform to him fully.
It’s to keep the spirit bound – Matthews 18:18 says Jesus gave us power to bind and to loose. We don’t use our power so we are incarcerated, powerless.
Matt. 16:19, John 20:22, 23, I Cor. 5:4
You can’t see the night or day. You are blind, but once you’ve been loosed you can see.
God’s spirit need to click in your mind, your heart, your eyes, your hearing. He need you to be loosed from everything that hinder you from serving him.
Some of us are bound by husbands, some by wives, some by jobs, whatever the hinderance is, we need to be set free.
We can be incarcerated in our hearts. Holding things dear that don’t matter. Things that don’t love us back.
What are you bound by. In St. John 8:32, Jesus said and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
John 1:14, 17
John 14:6
Romans 6:14, 18, 22
Jonah in the belly of the whale was on spiritual lockdown for the sin of disobeying God. We put ourselves on lockdown with God because we don’t want to witness like he said. When we don’t want to hurt no body’s feelings by telling them about themselves. Well we keep them bound and bound ourselves. You set free to set yourself free.
People we are bound and incarcerated in the confines of our own mind, but we blames the devil for everything.
Joseph was thrown in prison because of the anointing on his life.
David had to flee for his life from his own son. David was a warrior. He won many battles, but when it came to his own, he fled. He was incarcerated without being incarcerated. We become incarcerated with fear of doing what we have to do, but because we love our offspring so much we don’t do what we are anointed to do, we run from it. We have to knock down those bridges, those walls, those gaps.
The confinement of your home with God is great, but how many of us use the time for God. Really get into the study of God’s word, pray earnestly without your own agenda foremost.
God is tired of us being incarcerated to no avail. The same old same old all the time. Come up from among them and be ye separate said the Lord. Loose yourself, shake off the old flaky stuff and be free. He wants our deeds to be honest, true
