It was about nine years ago
that she departed from this family
i was too young to remember a thing
but what they say amazes me
they say life was better
when she was around
things seemed more pleasant
for she helped every living thing around
i know God needed her
but we weren't ready
for her to leave us yet
because our family was so unsteady
so I'm asking God this
why did he take her
take her away from us
if he knew we loved her with all of our hearts
