As we struggle through life's journey
Far behind the truths we hide
Perhaps what we once viewed as true happiness
Was merely a feeling - being pacified.
In a book by a man named Webster
Happiness is defined as self-content
However, through GOD's word and patient love
We find understanding in what Mr. Webster meant.
From a selfish agenda of mind
To the selfless giving of heart
This life, as defined by GOD's dictionary
Allows us to discern them apart.
A choice to dissociate from pride
To accept our role in life's mess
Somehow saying goodbye to ego
Allows real growth in true happiness.
For what direction lies ahead
Only our choices can come to term
True happiness lies not in learning to live-
Rather, living to learn.
