MY CHAOTIC LIFE
Life is racing
Far too fast.
I can’t keep up this pace!
Feelings come in
Chasing time,
Still come in second place.
Rushing forward
Day by day.
A moment? None to spend.
Whispering thoughts speak
Oh so faint,
Too hard to comprehend.
Hands are pulling
Here and there.
Where is the give and take?
Dreams put on hold.
Not so sure
That choice was mine to make.
Taking back what
Once was mine.
For this my heart does yearn:
Time to ponder,
Contemplate,
Moments of no concern.
You’re here with me
All the time.
Forgot that - this is true.
Please Lord can’t you
Slow me down
I need to rest in You.
