As for a dream when we awake,
The vision that some of them make;
We want to get rid of the thought,
That our mind must have had sought.
Our hearts fills with bitterness,
And corrupted with vulgarness;
The mind is seized with desire,
Despises what they inspire.
The soul grieves when pricked in the heart,
No way could you ever impart;
Too righteous for having such thought,
How could a dream ever had sought.
Stupid and not to understand,
Sleeping and have such a demand;
Ignorant acting like a beast,
And preparing for such a feast.
Yet is not God always with me,
Even though unable to see;
For He holds onto my right hand,
As He guides me through the dreamland/
The Lord guides me with His advice,
As He says I never think twice;
And unto glory in the end,
For I know that He is my friend.
The Lord is all I ever need,
In Heaven or on earth indeed;
Whom do I havc except for Him,
He brings smiles when it looks grim.
This body and mind may waste away,
As this heart and flesh will decay;
But God remains my foundation,
For supplying me salvation.
Without a doubt many will die,
Unfaithful who did cheat and lie;
Nonbelievers that will perish,
Because what they did not cherish.
