Recently there was a news story about a Hollywood actress who gave up her first class seat for a soldier sitting in the coach section, on a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles. It was, indeed, a humble act on the part of the celebrity.
Two-thousand years ago another person by the name of Jesus Christ humbly left his "seat" in heaven and came down to your level. The Bible says that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God but that he emptied himself of his existence in the form of God to take on the likeness of humanity. He did this to ultimately die on a cross for your eternal salvation. Jesus left his lofty throne on high, thereby making it possible for you to trade your position as a person in need of deliverance to the bondage of sin, for a spiritual "seat" in heaven, along with Jesus. This is what it says in Ephesians 2:6. He gave up his heavenly splendor for earthly existence.
This is the essence of Christianity. Jesus came down to your level to reach you right where you are. Religion, on the other hand, is humanity's attempt to reach and appease God through good works and the rituals and rules of religion. God's grace prompted him to give up his position so that you can be in the first class section called heaven. However, there is one condition: You must accept God's invitation to "sit" with him in heaven by a decision to make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life. There is a place reserved in heaven for those who do that. Will you accept Jesus today, or will you forfeit your place in heaven? The choice is yours.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

This giving up of His lofty position resulted in Him being persecuted, called a liar, being savagely beaten, spit upon and then suffering an excruciating death reserved for criminals. In stark contrast to the glory, praise, worship and adoration He deserved and deserves. He did this for YOU! Because He loves you so. Reject His love at your own risk. John 3:36
