Ephesians 4:4-6~There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Whenever I sit down to write about a profound topic such as The Trinity, I bow before God in prayer asking to be led by the Holy Spirit; so that His wisdom and truth are revealed. The whole idea of such a powerful unification in itself is beyond mere human comprehension, so the only way to expound upon it is by writing based upon the very words of our Heavenly Father!
2 Corinthians 13:14~"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all."
John 1:32-34~"And John gave testimony saying, I beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven and He remained upon Him. And I did not know Him, but the one who sent me to baptize in water, that One said to me, on whom you see the Spirit coming down upon and remaining, this is the one baptizing in the Holy Spirit. And I have seen, and witnessed that this is the Son of God."
God is the Superior Spiritual Being of love and mercy who gave His Son, Jesus Christ as an immeasurable gift for the sake our salvation, who in turn appointed the Holy Spirit who bestows guidance, discernment and comfort onto us during our purposeful journey of life. This great sacrifice was ordained to glorify God, and for us to willingly accept Christ as our Savior through unwavering faith in the Holy Spirit.
John 16:13-15~But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.
John 16:7~But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
Jesus is the second person of the Godhead who being one in spirit understood His purpose of dying on the cross. In the above scripture, Christ explained that even though He would no longer be here in the flesh, the Holy Spirit would be sent to lead and comfort us upon Christ returning to Heaven.
Sometimes I wonder just how many people truly understand the supremacy of the Trinity. How many of us are even grateful for the fact that God predetermined from the beginning of time exactly what would be necessary to save our souls? God in all of His infinite authority blessed us with the Holy Spirit; the third person of the Godhead; God being the first of course.
I pray that we continue to read the Word of God to enhance our spiritual awareness about the Trinity, and to equip us with the divine tools needed to prosper in wisdom and strength as we face everyday challenges. God graced us with everything we need to overcome all obstacles and heartaches that the devil will throw our way from time to time. Regardless of the depth of our occasional suffering, there is no comparison to the unimaginable suffering that Jesus Christ underwent on our behalf.
Jesus lived for us in the flesh and He lives for us now in the Spirit; but it is our choice whether or not we choose to accept this glorious sacrifice as a sustaining life source, until Christ returns to claim all faithful servants who accepted the Holy Spirit; thereby securing an eternal residence in the Kingdom of God.
1 Peter 3:18~For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
1 John 5:1-5~Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
God, the Son and the Holy Spirit will forever radiate in the hearts and souls of believers to help us fulfill our purpose in this life. I am humbled in sincere love and deep appreciation for this miraculous unity which was given to all who seek righteous living upon this earth; having a true desire to serve and worship our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, and through the Holy Spirit of everlasting love, truth and light.
Matthew 28:19-20~Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
And finally, I will leave you with a little more significant food for thought taken from Matthew 12:31-32~And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
The Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ is alive and never to be denied, which is based on the above scripture as the only unforgivable sin.
Peace, joy, mercy and love in Christ...Blessings~
