Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Trouble is described as a distressful or dangerous situation and a difficulty, problem, condition or action contributing to that situation
Jesus did not say we lack reason not to be troubled. There is every reason to be troubled. However there is a greater reason not to be troubled.
Trouble ...tarasso...gk, meaning ...to stir ...agitate
In other words, Jesus says do not get agitated because it will cut short the power of God.
If you get troubled and agitated you will lack reason to exercise faith in the present and cut short your duty, devotion and dependence on God. This is Satan's aim the author of trouble
In the world we will face trouble and tribulation but be of good cheer He has overcomed the world and its trouble for us
Your cheerfulness will defeat Satan the architect of our troubles. Jesus says count it all joy when we face diverse kinds of trouble.
Agitation breeds fear and fear has torments which destroys faith. Without your faith how will you please God?
This is the strategy of Satan to knock your faith out with troubles because he knows it is faith that changes things.
But We are more than conquerors through Jesus who loved us and gave himself for us. He has overcomed the tribulations for us.
The trouble or challenge or situation no matter how unpleasant it may be, may be for a purpose
It is to stop you awhile
It is to prepare you for the glory ahead.
It is to preserve you.
It is to make you pray and search the scriptures the more.
When discouragement, disappointment and tribulation set in...,
it is time also to speed up the attack and fight it through. It is time to dig deep with your relationship with Jesus.
Do not be troubled and be perplexed. Have faith in God. In other words, Refuse to be troubled or be perplexed.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 2 cor 4:17
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Rom 8:35
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Godís elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Rom 8:33-34
Your situation or trouble or challenge is for you to honour God before men. It is God that justifies and to deliver and preserve you from every evil work and bring you again to the expected end. Trust Him
Again, do not let your heart be troubled ..tarasso ..gk, meaning ...to be stirred up ... be agitated. Believe in God.
