God longs to commune with us. We long to commune with God. But God's longing is greater by far, and actually fuels our longing, and that is a comfort. It is a comfort because the communion doesn’t ultimately depend on us. Though our longing is small alongside His, it still registers in the Spirit realm as longing, as prayer would register, and so these two longings are bound to connect. Yes, these two longings inevitably find one another on the bridge between two longings.........and this Bridge is a Person whose name is Jesus.
