Trials and Tribulations

I am trying not to worry about how much my rates are going to go up when I tell my insurance company what happened but I would rather it go up than to lie to them about what happened. I know people's intentions come from a good place when they give me advice, but I also know nothing can ever end well if I can't be completely honest about the entire incident either. I don't feel right manipulating my insurance company nor do I feel comfortable telling the police only the pieces of information that might portray me to seem completely innocent on my part. I just have to tell it the way it happened no matter how much it might hurt me.

I know God will support me even if the accident was my fault as long as I admit to my part of the incident. I think what troubles most people is the fact that they do the complete opposite. They try to see how much they can get away with and it's not right that some of them do get away with ALOT. Most people don't understand what the term "Trials and Tribulations" mean and it's an important thing to understand when you have the Holy Spirit. "Trials and Tribulations" is when Trouble comes to put the morals of the spirit to the test. As "furnace for gold and crucible for silver" (Prov 17:3), so Tribulation puts the strength of your conscience on Trial before God. (The short nickname for it, is either "Trials" or "Tribulations" and they go hand in hand and most Christians are familiar with this term.)

This is the way God determines if a man's heart is truly living according to God's Word. For, if the Holy Spirit does not produce "works" within a person, it will eventually be evicted from their "house". When people experience tribulations, they don't realize that they've been brought to Trial because God is "demanding an accounting"- which is another term Christians are familiar with (Gen 9:5). When God demands an accounting, He Troubles the soul so that it will expose the Truth of the heart and if they do not have Testimonies, then they have approached God empty handed.

When the Holy Spirit comes, it begins to teach a person many things and also blesses them with joy. It will teach them the difference between right and wrong, teach them to learn how to make better decisions and it might, even teach them how to cope with certain situations. When the Holy Spirit finishes a stage of lessons, it will put the conscience of the heart to the test, to see if that individual truly learned anything, before going any further with its education. The person suffering from troubles will be confronted with some difficult choices, that are unlike everyday choices we face. The decisions they end up making, will determine whether or not they have truly learned anything and if they didn't learn to follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit, then it means "God's Word returned to Him empty".

The term "God's Word returned to Him empty", means, that the individual failed to live up to the Word given to them by the Holy Spirit and they proved their heart as "Unfaithful". When a man lives according to God's Word, they will do the right thing taught to them by the Holy Spirit and this is the only way God's Word does not return to Him empty. Instead, when an individual puts the Holy Spirit's lessons and guidance into practice throughout the Tribulation, a Testimony is born and God will see the results of His Spirit's labor and that person will be labeled as "Faithful and True"- and they are the only type of worshipers God seeks.

When I began my millionth Tribulation yesterday (I honestly lost count), I overcame the first phase of it, which was not to let it take my joy or make me fall apart mentally, emotionally or spiritually. The second phase of the tribulation is always more difficult because of the temptations that come. Though I am tempted to escape the costs of the accident through dishonesty, I have to remain faithful to the lessons the Holy Spirit taught me. For, I know if I decide to make corrupt choices, then it would also corrupt my education and nullify it and there would be no results I could show God as to why He should allow me to keep the Holy Spirit if it doesn't result in works. So, in the end, knowing this, helps me to make the right decision without bitterness and I just have to trust God that He will forgive me for my poor mistakes and help me pay any debts that might accumulate as a result. We are all at the mercy of God, but as a person who has overcome many Tribulations, I have more hope that God will not abandon me. "Keep your oath, even when it hurts", also means to remain true to His Word even when it pains you to do it.

It is always easy to resort to corruption, especially when it might seem to be the only solution to all of your problems. "But if you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin will come to your door" and it will separate you from God. The third phase of the tribulation always depends on the results of the temptation and I won't be able to share this experience until I come to it, so I will keep you updated. I am using this experience as an example to show you how "Trials and Tribulations" work, so that you can get a better understanding of it when you find yourself unexpectedly on Trial.
